Why me?

Recently i was visiting town x in country A for a vacation since i have certain folks living there i had gone there for a nice pleasant vacation,a couple of days passed in the hot town x in a uneventful manner those usual evening when my uncle returned from work to our palatial house and would take us around for a drive our to some cozy place to eat or those occasional take-away,now  these take-away were taking place because our awesome cook Mrs Abcd was out attending a wedding, she cooked for ours as well as eight families to make ends meet, She cooked for us in the morning as well as in the evenings.she had two daughters.

One evening my maternal grand-mother receives a phone call from Mrs bereaved our cook.

Mrs Bereaved:”Ma’am i wont be able to make it for work tomorrow morning.”

my grandmother:”Why you were supposed to return today from the wedding and report for work tomorrow morning” and then instinctively asks if she was alright.

Mrs bereaved our cook broke down.

my grandmother:”What happened! tell me”

Mrs bereaved:”They killed her!”

my grandmother:”who killed whom, tell me clearly”

Mrs bereaved:”my daughter, they killed her.her husband and her mother in law killed her”she sobbed uncontrollably.

Mrs bereaved:”They locked the room, held her hands and feet then cut her vein in the wrist and pressed her neck and before doing that they had mixed poison in her food”

Mrs bereaved:”she’s dead,an autopsy is being conducted on her”

Mrs bereaved:”her twins are refusing to state anything against their father”

my grandmother:”wow i don’t have anything to say”she sighed

Mrs bereaved:”i will report to work as soon as i cremate my daughter”

my grandmother:”oh please!take your time”

Mrs Bereaved cremated her daughter and reported to work she did not even spend time mourning at home and reported for work to her eight duties afraid that one of her 8 employers might just cut her salary which she cannot afford, she did not FILE A POLICE COMPLAINT EVEN AFTER BEING PRODDED FOR DOING SO FOR DAYS,SHE STATED THAT WHEN EVEN THE VICTIMS CHILDREN WERE VOUCHING FOR THE KILLERS I.e THE HUSBAND AND THE MOTHER-IN-LAW.HOW WOULD SHE ALONE FIGHT FOR HER DAUGHTER AND ALSO THAT SHE WAS APPREHENSIVE OF THE APATHY OF THE JUSTICE SYSTEM AND THE ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.CURRENTLY SHE STILL IS BEING CONVINCED TO DO SOMETHING,HOPEFULLY SHE WILL TAKE THE FIRST STEP.WILL THE VICTIM AND MRS BEREAVED GET JUSTICE I DO NOT KNOW WILL THINGS CHANGE IN THE COUNTRY I DO NOT KNOW.

what do i know then?nothing.

WHY?

Why even in today’s times are there so many restrictions on a women, for all those sitting and telling your selves that only women in Asia and Africa and other developing areas of the world have issues regarding  various basic rights they are entitled to then think again, reports regarding violation of basic human rights available to all under the constitution have been violated when it comes to women have come from all over the world.Yes even though it might not be a regular phenomenon in the west, but it is not rare either.A pregnant waitress in a diner gets picked on by her manager on a regular basis for not waiting tables in a proper manner even though she is doing her job perfectly well and then blaming her pregnancy for it,a husband threatening his wife with divorce if she does not leave her job that she loves and  stay at home and cook food and only look after the children or if she earns a higher salary her husband insists that she take up a job where she earns less then him, though this might sound extreme but this does take place. Is it her fault she earns more than him?,and does it even matter who earns more?maybe it does.

Number of people per minute who experience intimate partner violence in the U.S alone is.: 24,so just imagine what the total worldwide intimate partner violence would be,even as I write and even as you read, some woman in some part of the world is getting brutally assaulted by the person she loves the most,I shouldn’t be writing a woman rather I should be writing women.

Only 37% of countries have achieved gender parity in secondary education.According to a UNICEF source currently 65 million girls worldwide are being denied the right to basic education.Take the case of the brave Mallala Yousafzai the brave 15 year old Pakistani girl who was shot at by the Taliban when she was on her way to school for advocating women’s right to education and openly speaking out against the Taliban for passing  an anti-girls education dictate.

Gender discrimination at work, sexual harassment, refusal to employ or the refusal to employ or discrimination of a woman on the basis of her looks, all of this must stop.Though in developed countries  there are various laws to prevent discrimination and violation of the basic fundamental rights of a woman and developing countries also following in pursuit of such laws, there is still plenty of scope for development of laws for the protection and welfare of women.

We must remember one thing clearly, for society to prosper there must be inclusive growth and not exclusive growth a particular section of the society cannot be excluded.Without a woman there would have been no life on earth.

Do you work hard?

bushJake work’s really very hard that’s why he earns more money then Ryan, since Ryan does not work equally hard so he earns less.My daughter work’s harder then my son so she scores better then him in academics, these are some of the conversation’s i have overheard and it would always make me think what exactly was hard work, was it working for long hours or was it straining oneself or falling ill working towards one’s goal,i did not know what working hard was, because the society around me always associated hard work with success, which i was not at least in terms of “certain” academic subjects like math,i would be labelled a lazy douche bag or a failure or something similar, but even i would study just like others but i just could not connect with why A square= B square or why some thing was equal to something and not equal to something else it just did not make sense to me i would ask myself how is this going to help me in my everyday life, but still i was the one who was not working hard according to my teachers, that is  when i started to feel that only successful people were hardworking or vice verse, but then as time passed i entered college and that is  when i realized there was no connection between hard work and success, rather i would go to the extent of saying there is nothing or some term that “successful” people have invented to highlight their success,i felt hard work was not possible either you work smart or you slog, you do not work hard, working in a manner in which you can increase the output and reduce the time to produce the output has made people successful, but this is only theoretical, the real thing was it does not matter how many hours you work or how well do you concentrate what people care about is the end result and the earlier you give them results the more the chances of success you have, now how do you get these results is unto you you want to cheat go cheat you want to find shortcuts go find shortcuts you want to manage your time well do that but just get the results.is this what we as a human race wanted to come to,we have created a hierarchy those who are the more successful personalities of their profession or whatever they are hard working and hence successful, the two have no co-relation those who achieved success and those who did not had only one difference the successful one’s did know how to get their or to put in a more respectful manner find their way, they knew when to do what and when to be where, you are not a success or a failure you just haven’t made the right moves unless obviously you do not like to move your ass but for all those who put in an effort but have not tasted the so-called-success,just hang in there success might just be on it’s just waiting for that one move i do not know what that one move is but we just need to hang in there and keep trying.I myself being a student who struggled to pass in so many of my subject in school to going on to studying in one of the most prestigious law schools in my country, but i still do not consider this to be a success because i still do not  know if i really am happy doing what am doing so i am going to keep trying by doing things that i like doing something that i could turn from a hobby to a full time profession, something that i would enjoy working alongside my legal studies, something that i might even want to replace my studies with.Success according to me would be to continue exploring the various aspects of your life and then finally settling on something that would give you satisfaction, the kind of satisfaction that you were always looking for.

That bloody(literally)toe nail.

The curse of the ingrown toe nail, how many of you have heard about this, well those of you who have never heard about it leave alone experienced well i basically  envy you,so as i was saying it is called Onychocryptosis (from Greek ὄνυξ onyx “nail” + κρυπτός kryptos “hidden”), also known as an ingrown toenail, or unguis incarnatus[1] is a common form of nail disease I don’t want to call it a disease but it makes it sound disgusting actually it  actually starts off all innocently your skin next to your big toe starts to get all red,you think it’s just some rash it will go away then comes the swelling again you start thinking the swelling and redness would go away and then comes the pain and a watery white thing whats it called i cant get the term and that’s when you go berserk and go to the doctor. It is an often painful condition in which the nail grows so that it cuts into one or both sides of the paronychium or nail bed. This condition has been found only in shoe-wearing cultures and does not occur in habitually barefoot people since it requires downward pressure on the nail by a shoe, well i unfortunately belong to the shoe wearing population,so now the fun part starts you go to the doctor he examines it and if you are lucky enough then he will give you a anesthetic  and try to non-surgically remove the pointed portion of the nail which has entered your skin, but if it is deep as in my case well then god bless you,you have to surgically remove but it’s not always as painful but mine was a little complicated so i was put to sleep for about two hours or three i do not precisely remember, and then by the time the drowsiness wears off it’s about two hours 45 minutes to three hours from the time you are put to sleep, well you know once the drowsiness and the anesthetic effect starts to reduce the pain increases but that’s fine at least you don’t have the dirty toe nail, rather dirty half toenail,i started to get all happy and stuff, and the doctor was like u need to hire a nurse or a doctor who would dress the wound for the next 10 days, once everyday, i got all happy and stuff well not so fast,, after the surgery you have to shut the wound firm and tight  to prevent any further loss of blood,so on the first day the bandage gets stuck to the flesh and they try to apply betadiene and other stuff to try to get the bandage to loosen its grip on the flesh the bandage luckily started to loosen its grip from onto my flesh and came off but to my unluckiness the threads got stuck and oh boy they had to start pulling the threads of the flesh that’s what u call “true pain” started, but that’s only for the first day and i did not have saline water for the first day as well, from day two after using saline water a lot of it ,it is easier to get the bandage off your flesh so the painful part is only for one day,it might not even be one day it might be pain-free for others from day one,i am speaking about my experience.well i was all happy at the end of ten days that now no more dressing is required and stuff and i got all happy that now i just had to apply neosprin  on the wound and put on a light dressing for some time approx till a thick casing like skin start’s forming, now everything was fine and i happened to go an international trip representing my law college so we would be in the conference from morning to evening and then at night you know as everyone likes meeting new people and partying and stuff we would do that but now i don’t when during this trip i banged my leg against some hard object head on now this caused the front portion of the shell-like structure to break a very very tiny part of that casing like skin but now this was enough to cause bleeding along with an infection  i did not even realize that all of this had happened i had gone to the doctor only to show him the bleeding that was taking place,he told me that all of this happened so that was how tiny the broken casing was that i could not even spot it but that does not matter, now he put me back onto antibiotics to firstly stop the infection and the bleeding and  he was 90% sure he would again have to surgically cut open the new hard skin that has formed in the place of the nail and again let it re-grow so there is no chance of an infection, and all of this breaking and infection happened about one or maybe two months after the surgery.I am supposed to show him my big toe nail on the 18th of this month lets hope for the best.

So the moral over here is that even though some time might have passed after your surgery but you still have to be very careful for about at least six months after the surgery.

  • all views and experience stated over here are mine and that i am not implying that everyone has the same experience with toe nails and toe nail surgery if any if it takes place.

Why apple makes you fall in love with its products.

Well if you are an American you know exactly what am i speaking about, and if your not an American you will know after reading this post, what makes the apple company so famous in the USA and now even in other countries especially the developed ones, turning apple critics like me into apple products liker if not a lover.some points.

  1. Difference in the feel that you have when you use the product, like for example the apple iPhone when one uses the iphone its like gliding through a smooth surface even for new users though it might take some time to get the hang of it.
  2. ITUNES AND APP STORE  now how many phones have an store where there about 1,00,000 applications which cater to your needs general everyday or something special, though you have pay for a lot of the apps but some of them are worth the price.
  3. Face time,if you have a apple product and your friend has an apple product you guys get to face time for free using the internet, now which other company has developed something like this, now there is Skype which is an app in general for all phones which support its software, but its not developed by a phone company especially for its users.
  4. jail Break  well  this is one of the things which the company does not support but its users do love doing this especially in matters of application which are free for users on other platforms but are charged on ios platform, that is basically on the app store.
  5. The resolution on the iPhone,i pad and iPod touch is very good though at the price they are selling it at you can find some other similar with equally good resolution
  6. Posh Factor now agree with me or not there is always this factor which makes you feel classy it gives you a class.
  7. Good customer care apple does have a good customer care network atleast in the usa.
  8. Usually a long life apple products usually last long and without having any problems, but there have  been cases about problems but those you do not get to read about very often.
  9. The camera
  10. Business Promotion of it’s products apple is one of the most agressive promoters of it’s products advertising, creating this u-must-have-a aplle product feel around it’s products.
  11. But one very important  dis-advantage is it’s cost factor obviously some of the most expensive electronic devices you will find in the market come from the house of  Apple.

R.I.P Hugo Chavez

Recently i had the opportunity of attending an international conference where i got to meet a lot of people especially Venezuelans,we were having our conversations and then came up the topic of Hugo Chavez, though the initial response  was quite negative like Hugo Chavez was not at all helping the Venezuelans,he was not a peoples person etc etc, these guys described themselves as the middle income people and that the security situation was very bad back in Venezuela, but then there was this other group which spoke highly of  Mr Chavez and how he had used the oil money to help the poor of Venezuela, and  on the 5th of march,2013 i heard about his demise,so i decided to write a blog on all the work Mr Chavez has done for the world and Venezuela.

Hugo Rafael Chavez Fracas (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈuɣo rafaˈel ˈtʃaβes ˈfɾi.as]; 28 July 1954 – 5 March 2013) was the President of Venezuela from 1999 until his death in 2013. He was formerly the leader of the Fifth Republic Movement political party from its foundation in 1997 until 2007, when it merged with several other parties to form the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), which he led until his death.

Following his own political ideology of Bolivarianism and “socialism of the 21st century“, he focused on implementing socialist reforms in the country as a part of a social project known as the Bolivarian Revolution, which has seen the implementation of a new constitution, participatory democratic councils, the nationalization of several key industries, increased government funding of health care and education, and significant reductions in poverty, according to government figures.[1]

Chavez was raised by his grandmother in a house with a mud floor in rural Venezuela and evoked almost religious passion among poor supporters who loved his folksy charm, common touch and determination to put the nation’s oil wealth at their service.

He burst onto the national scene by leading an attempted coup in 1992. It failed and he was imprisoned, but he then formed a political party on his release two years later and swept to power in a 1998 election.

It was the first of four presidential election victories, built on widespread support among the poor.

The flamboyant 58-year-old had undergone four operations in Cuba for a cancer that was first detected in his pelvic region in mid-2011. His last surgery was on December 11 and he had not been seen in public since.

I DO NOT KNOW WHETHER HE WAS GOOD OR A BAD POLITICIAN BUT HE SURELY WAS A VERY FAMOUS LEADER,ATLEAST FOR THE POOR OF HIS COUNTRY.images
